Questions
- How do I open capture on my Mac?
- Press ⌘ ⇧ V in any app, or click the icon in the menu bar. You can pick a different shortcut in Settings.
- How do I save a word from another app on iPhone?
- Select the text, tap Share, then choose Add to Vocab. If you don’t see it, scroll to the end of the app row, tap More and turn Add to Vocab on.
- My cards don’t appear on my other device.
- Make sure you signed in with the same Apple account on both devices and that both are online. Cards sync automatically when the app opens.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. You can capture and review without a connection. Explanations and sync happen as soon as you’re back online.
- The explanation looks wrong.
- Explanations are generated by AI and can miss. Open the card and choose Re-explain, or add context — the sentence where you met the phrase helps a lot.
- I ran out of explanations for today.
- The free plan includes 3 explanations a day; the count resets at midnight UTC. Cards you save in the meantime keep their place and can be explained later.
- How do I cancel Pro?
- On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vocab Companion. On Mac: App Store → your account → Account Settings → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- How do I delete my account?
- Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account. We delete the account and all its cards within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
